Brokerage Relationship Manager

The primary focus for the Brokerage Relationship Manager is to drive, develop and maintain relationships with the financial advisors and institutions that we serve. The ideal candidate for this role will be expected to support advisors by going the extra mile in order to provide them with the resources necessary to implement the best solutions for their clients.

Maintain & Foster Strong Relationships with Advisors

  • Constant communication with brokers on cases, consistent follow-up
  • Recognize key relationships and always make them top priorities
  • Check in with brokers on a regular basis to gain feedback
  • Aim to maximize production within existing relationships
  • Work to increase number of producer referrals

Support Case Design & Implementation

  • Determine producers’ needs for growth and deliver the appropriate resources necessary to fulfill them
  • Oversee and support the implementation process for the best possible solution
  • Survey new potential brokers as well as existing brokers

Develop & Expand Network of Brokers

  • Identify and research all potential producers in the market area
  • Recognize new opportunities within existing relationships and partnerships
  • Develop strategic partnerships within network and always look to expand

Key Qualifications, Skills & Characteristics

  • 1- 2 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry preferred
  • Background in Client Relations or Sales preferred
  • LAH Insurance License preferred, but not required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using CRM software preferred (i.e. Sales Force, Smart Office, etc.)
  • Entrepreneurial & Self Starting mindset
  • Goal oriented and driven to succeed
  • Pay close attention to detail
  • Thrive in team environment
  • Innovative thinker, enjoy problem solving
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Junior Partner

In recent years there has been an improvement in technology platforms and efficiency planning tools that allow advisors to more effectively manage their practice. Even with this improvement, senior advisors are having difficulty providing a high quality of service to all of their clients. Commonwealth Financial Group is searching for successful advisors looking to partner their practice with that of another producer.

The key to these successful partnerships is complementary skill sets and aligned professional goals. We take the coordination of these partnerships very seriously and are continuously searching for advisors that will be a good match to one of our senior partners.

Requirements for a Junior Partner include:

  • 1-3 years of financial planning experience
  • Successfully have built a budding financial services practice
  • Fully licensed (life and health, 7 and 66)
  • Willingness to learn new planning methodology and mesh best practices

Commonwealth Financial Group has an extensive network of alliance partners throughout all of New England. With opportunities ranging from national property and casualty firms to local accounting offices, we have developed relationships that require the expertise of experienced planners. Managed properly, an advisor will be able to open planning opportunities within an alliance partners book of business.
