Nicholas “Nick” Roop is a Financial Planner at Commonwealth Financial Group, a graduate of Norwich University, and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Nick’s passion for helping others with their finances developed early as he educated himself about all aspects of financial management, from personal finance to business investment. Seeing the positive impact his military service to the country brought, it became just as important to Nick to put that same level of energy, effort, and commitment into improving the lives of others through financial planning.
The focus of Nick’s business is working with families and business owners to achieve financial independence. Nick works with a wide range of clients, but he specializes in working with members of the military, veterans, police, nurses, and other frontline personnel. He also works well with business owners, both large and small, and business executives.
Nick’s holistic approach is similar to that of a personal CFO: he works with the important professionals in your life, including lawyers, accountants, mortgage brokers, and others, to ensure that any and all financial decisions are made with your best interests and goals in mind.
Education is another cornerstone of Nick’s business and personal life. His wife, Maria is a teacher, and he, too, views himself as an educator. He loves to coach clients on each step of their financial plan, so they feel empowered, confident, and comfortable in their financial life.
Nick and his wife Maria live in Essex Junction, Vermont with his daughter Madison, and two sons, Alexander and Ryan. They enjoy bringing people together by hosting dinners with friends. Weekends during the Summer are spent on Lake Champlain, and in the Winter, they are either hibernating at home, or on one of the local mountains attempting to snowboard.
