Christopher M. Hodgson has owned and operated Coastal Financial since 1999. He graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration in 1994 and earned his Masters of Science in Financial Services from the American College in 2008, and is accredited as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ (CFP®).  Chris is a Certified Family Business Specialist (CFBS) and Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC). He has earned his Certificate in Business Succession Planning from the American College. He has served the United Way of Greater New Bedford in many capacities:  Chairman of the Board, Campaign Chair, member of the Finance Committee and member of the Executive Committee, and takes pride in supporting community organizations. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Southcoast Health Systems.  Chris was recognized as one of Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island's Top Young Professionals, who select men and women under the age of 40 who are helping to shape the future through their business and community involvement.

Chris currently resides in South Dartmouth, MA with his wife, Lisa and their miniature Dachshunds, Cody & Sophie.   Their son, Christopher, is a graduate of Florida State University and is currently working in the financial services industry in Florida.
